How much a player’s hustle increases his top speed. NBA Live 17 Should Implement NHL Series Back Skate Feature (Back Peddling) I actually made a video for this in 2016: Let’s imagine this was a basketball game:Ī player’s ability to control his movement and speed while back peddling Now, what makes NHL’s game play much more fluid than NBA Live is the ability to tune things like player agility with and without the puck, look at it in a sense of with and without the basketball, 2K has similar sliders as well, but to me, they don’t work as well as NHL’s. Is it because of the sliders 100%? I don’t know, but I can only tweak what they give so even as an assumption, its factual in my eyes lol. A part of me believes that they are tied to player tendencies as well because I had to turn up post scoring and medium jumpers to 80, and guess what, the CPU has taken more mid-range jump shots since then. While I believe the sliders in Live 18 does its job, they are still flawed. “Oh, here he go with that NHL/NBA stuff again” naaaaaaah, here me out, one last time dawg lol. As most of you know the NHL series has been one of my favorite series from EA, has tabs of sliders to customize game play. With the majority of the sliders from NBA Live 18 I assume are coming back for NBA Live 19, I think the team should expand one them allowing for more creative freedom for its users. Adding more customization for online modes would be welcomed as well. With a few patches here and there with my current slider set has made the game more fun enjoyable offline. Adding sliders to Live 16 to me saved the game, because as an offline gamer, I’m always looking for new ways to mess with the game and experiment. There were no sliders in NBA Live 14 or 15 but they made their debut in NBA Live 16. My only issue with the new generation of NBA Live games have been the lack of customization freedom. While I believe NBA Live 18 has the best game play of the series (maybe up for debate for some) I believe this game has truly blossomed from what was NBA Live 14 to now. Question, would the NBA Live series benefit from having player movement sliders? My answer would be YES. As the two games release more screenshots of players, I'll continue to create the side-by-side looks.I know the Wishlist has been submitted, but I feel this can be easily implemented to what they currently have. This is just the first round of comparisons. While Live has taken a step forward in the way of visuals, 2K still has the more accurate renders thus far. Still, it's pretty clear, the 2K version looks sharper and more consistent with the real-life image of Boogie. That said, the art team did a great job crafting a face without a scanned image. This is a decent effort by both games, but I'm not sure the Live image is a product of a scan. Which DeMarcus Cousins looks better #NBALive19 and #NBA2K19 ? /CywUFx8EzO Barring a brand-new Simmons model from EA, this is an easy call. From hair texture, placement and body structure, this is easily the most-lopsided comparison image. However, there isn't a shader or pose that will make Live's version of Simmons superior to the 2K pic. To be fair, the Live image is a screenshot from a pre-retail version, and not a posed and posted model image like the others in this article. Which Ben Simmons looks better #NBALive19 and #NBA2K19 ? /J3kyVbhlag DeRozan's face looks too lean and the eyes are not prominent enough in that pic. The 2K version of DeRozan is far better than Live. This is one of the more clear-cut wins for either side. Which DeMar DeRozan looks better #NBALive19 and #NBA2K19 ? /zJnODvLAhm Still, this is like splitting hairs, thus I call it a draw. The Live screen might even have Ayton's ears misplaced. However, I think 2K's actually looks more like Ayton, while a bit more cartoonish. Both look good, but Live's version of the draft's No. Which Deandre Ayton looks better #NBALive19 and #NBA2K19 ? /71DUZlg9RC The Live pic lacks life, and like many of their models, I take some umbrage with the shoulder depiction. The render looks slight around the shoulders which can make the players look as if they have abnormally small heads in proportion to the frame.ĢK's Bagley is on point and is the better representation here as well. This one is very similar to the image of Doncic. Which Marvin Bagley III looks better #NBALive19 and #NBA2K19 ? /ZqaFwdm3Ry Overall, the 2K version is cleaner and better represents Doncic's eyes. However, the 2K version has an edge in the accuracy department. Which Luka Doncic looks better #NBALive19 and #NBA2K19 ? /RCJ2Y7MLUPĭallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic is easily recognizable in both screens.
